Aerial Photography for a new High Rise
ATX Tower - Austin, TX
ATX Tower is a striking new 58-story addition to Austin's growing skyline. Offering luxury residences as well as modern office space and retail, this development required a new set of high end marketing photography to complement each zone.
Capturing a high rise in a congested downtown setting full of competing views along with construction barriers, cranes and workers is a unique challenge. Timing and communication with staff and construction crews on-site is essential in photographing the cleanest low-traffic moments available. When this project was photographed, the final stages of construction were still ongoing. This meant working around crews and timing angles to minimize unfinished elements. Expert retouching ensures that every square foot is clean, distractions are minimized, and nothing to distract from the architect's vision remains.
Photographing a building like this involves plenty of research and planning in Google Earth and additional software to map out sun angles, shadows from other buildings, and camera angles in a crowded space. Time on-site typically spans from pre-dawn hours to well after sunset.
